Mechanism

BPC-157 is a synthetic 15-amino-acid peptide derived from a sequence in human gastric juice. In vitro it modulates the nitric oxide system, accelerates fibroblast and tendon-cell migration, and upregulates VEGF and growth-hormone receptor expression in injured tissues.

  Wound-closure scratch assays in primary tendon fibroblast cultures.

  VEGF/eNOS upregulation studies in HUVECs and rodent cardiac tissue homogenates.

• NO-system modulation
  L-NAME / L-arginine antagonism assays measuring nitric oxide pathway sensitivity.
  Working range: 10 µg/kg models
