Wound healing scratch assay

The scratch assay (wound closure assay) creates a cell-free "wound" in a confluent monolayer by dragging a pipette tip across the plate. Migration of cells into the gap is photographed over time (typically 0, 6, 12, 24 hours) and quantified as percent wound closure. BPC-157 accelerates fibroblast migration in 3T3 and primary tendon fibroblast cultures at 1–10 µg/mL. GHK-Cu enhances dermal fibroblast migration at 1 nM–10 µM. The assay is simple, inexpensive, and correlates with in-vivo wound healing outcomes.
