Mechanism

Reduced L-glutathione (GSH) is the cell's primary low-molecular-weight thiol antioxidant. It directly scavenges free radicals via its thiol group, serves as cofactor for glutathione peroxidase, and conjugates xenobiotics in Phase II detoxification.

In-vitro applications

• Oxidative stress co-treatment
  Pre-treatment of neurons / hepatocytes / cardiomyocytes against tBHP, H₂O₂, or rotenone.
  Working range: 0.1 mM to 5 mM
• Acetaminophen hepatotoxicity
  GSH-conjugation pathway studies in HepG2 + primary hepatocytes.
  Working range: 2 mM to 10 mM
• Immunomodulation
  Modulation of immune cell responses in lymphocyte / macrophage cultures.
  Working range: 0.5 mM to 2 mM
